Thu 7/10 - UPDATE:
The downed trees have been cleared from the trail throughout the entire system.
____________________________________________________________________We still need to check the TNT trail, but that probably won't happen until next week. The trails are slick and slippery from the recent rains, but they should be fine once the ground drys up. Click HERE for more details. - And Have Fun!!! All of the singletrack trails on the North Side are clear (i.e. IMBERM, Stinkys, Skeeter, Fr. Connect, Bob, Quarry Trail) Still Hill is NOT clear. The Trails on the South Side still need some work and we will be working on that tonight. We expect to have the entire trail system open after Thursday Night. (Check back here for more information). The volunteers that came out last night did an extraordinary amount of work, and most of them will be out there again tonight. THANK-YOU! to everyone that came out! Remember... If you used the trails today, Thank a Volunteer.
If you want to use them tomorrow, Become a Volunteer. ____________________________________________________________________  We will try and get out Wednesday and Thursday nights to clear as many trees as we can from the trail. Check back here for updates. WE NEED YOUR HELP: HPT has 3 individuals that have completed the chainsaw safety class; therefore they will be the only ones running saws. However we need a few individuals to help with clearing (2 helpers per saw). If anyone can come up to help out Wednesday late afternoon/evening please post a note in the comments here.

... I'll try and be there around 4:00pm on Wednesday to move the trailer up to the HPT Parking Lot; and then start sawing. Radio's will be in the trailer, and I'll have my phone on me. My plan is to start on the South end of "Quarry Trail", then start in at "IMBERM". We'll try clearing the North Side trails first, then move on to "OB1" and the South Side trails. Matt K should be there around 5:45pm. (Not sure what time Mike will make it up.) Matt D - I'll give you a call Wednesday to confirm meeting at the HPT Parking Lot. |

... Large trees are down on every trail section. The only somewhat clear area is from the re-route on the quarry trail over to trail end by FA turn around. I will out with anyone interested this evening and tommorrow night also.  |

Mike C. (Frenchy) may also show up between 5-6pm. And we could use a few more hands if he makes it. Thanks everyone for your help! |
